Something that I enjoyed from the ropes course was the importance of cheering each other on. We can use this on the field in many ways. It can be simply by giving each other confidence. Cheering each other on can mean giving encouragement to other players. This can help us become better players and become closer as a team on and off the field.

When I was at the ropes course I had so much fun and I got to bond with the team and learn things that I can apply to soccer games. One thing that I enjoyed was how supportive everyone was and pushed me to get through a challenge even when I didn’t think I could. I can apply this to soccer by cheering on my teammates when they think that they aren’t doing so well and making them keep a positive mindset. Another thing I enjoyed was how everyone was talking and giving you directions on how to get through that challenge. This showed me that we need to talk more in games. Overall I had a great time and got to bond with everyone more.

At the ropes course we talked a lot about trust, not only do you have to trust yourself, but others. When we were on the rock wall you couldn’t see some of the rocks, so you had to trust the people on the ground and listen to what they were telling you. On the soccer field, if someone says to turn or to go out farther, you have to trust them, because sometimes what you can’t see they can. So, not only do I have to trust myself in net, but my defense that they are going to protect me as much as they can, my mids that they aren’t going to let the ball through, and my strikers that they are going to score and keep the ball down the other half.

I really enjoyed getting to interact with my teammates outside of the soccer field because I only get to interact with them in game situations. Now that I know what my teammates really are like, I think that I will be able to better communicate with them.
